There are folks building scratch built, partial kits, to complete kit built Radio Control model schooners.

Currently our largest schooner fleets are in Maryland, California and Florida

San Diego Model Yacht Club and South Daytona Model Yacht Club

There's also a separate group called the
Southern California Schooner Fleet
that sail and have regattas in S. California and Arizona

Mark Johnson photo of S. Daytona MYC Lobster Smack, it was a kit and built by Homer Bowen, the kit was plank on frame, Homer found it in Maine some years ago. It was meant to be a static model, but Homer converted it to R/C.
