Past classes

This page will list and "keep alive" AMYA Classes that have fallen below the AMYA minimum of 20 registered AMYA members having boats registered in the class.  As such these boats will fall under the AMYA Open class until they attain the necessary 20 current members registering the boat.  All matters pertaining to these boats should be addressed to the Open Class Secretary.

A

De-Sanctioned in 2000. The A class yacht was one of the larger of the RC yachts, employing classic lines to enhance it's graceful appearance. This development class allowed variations in the waterline length, sail area and displacement based on a formula. This resulted in yachts that gave the skipper the "feel" of sailing a full size yacht.
